Look mom, I’m on TV!
My wife and I share our BMW 328i xDrive wagon and since we both work from home, neither of us use it every day.
Ever since we bought it last year, I’ve been putting together a list of things I want to update on it from visual things like wheel fitment and M bumpers, to engine mods like a chip tune and exhaust to squeeze a bit more power out of that turbocharged 4 cylinder motor.
Since this is the only car we have, that means I’m limited to only modifications that take an afternoon, or max a day or two with some planning.
My wife has a say too
Since my wife has to drive the car too, that means while I’m the one working on the car, she has to be comfortable driving it. That will seriously dampen the harshness of the suspension I can use, and I probably can’t go too aggressive on the styling.
Besides, I want her to enjoy the car too!
So this series will be an exploration into how someone can modify their daily driver with a limited budget in their own garage. I’ll show you the good, the bad, and you’ll get to watch every mistake I make.
